Responsibilities:

The Clinical Engineering-Imaging Specialist II provides day to day operations and support for all imaging technologies within Norton Healthcare receiving focused Imaging equipment training and associated peripherals. This role provides quality, timely and cost-effective preventative maintenance and repair service of the diagnostic imaging equipment on the following modalities: Ultrasound, X-Ray, MRI & Fluoroscopic, and Contrast Injectors but not limited to other modalities; leveraging approved tools for asset control and configuration as well as ISO quality procedures and documents as outlined by the department. The Clinical Engineering-Imaging Specialist II adheres to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP), including all regulatory agency compliance and other applicable policies, procedures, Request and maintain X account credentials with admin privileges, adds new or existing devices to the Domain and keeps up to date on IS Clearpass form. This role obtains manufacturer certifications as well as learn and apply new technology, ISO quality and security concepts as medical device technology evolves. The Clinical Engineering-Imaging Specialist II serves as a subject matter expert and liaison for modality associated vendors, clinicians and physicians. The Clinical Engineering-Imaging Specialist II maintains or exceeds service metrics set by CE/HTM leadership. This position is designed to work as directed by the CE Diagnostic Imaging Engineering Manager. Must obtain manufacturer certifications as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • With Associate's degree or U.S. Military Biomedical equipment technology program completion:  5 years of imaging experience.
  • Without Associate's degree or U.S. Military Biomedical equipment technology program completion: 7 years of imaging equipment experience.

Desired:

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in clinical engineering or equivalent; U.S military biomedical equipment program
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET); Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES)
