Note: This is a remote, Customer-facing position performed primarily inside hospitals. To serve the assigned territory, you must live in California.
Your impact
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair STERIS and third‑party medical equipment.
- Prioritize and execute: PMs, service/warranty calls, installations, field upgrade programs, and related duties.
- Use digital platforms to meet compliance requirements, document work, and speed resolution.
- Partner with Tech Support, Engineering, and Service Contract Management to escalate complex issues appropriately.
- Share repair options, pricing, and recommendations with Customers; with leadership support, collaborate with Sales to elevate the Customer experience and recognize revenue opportunities.
- Provide coverage for multiple facilities within your territory in line with service agreements.
Backgrounds that thrive
HVAC, general mechanics, maintenance, refrigeration, boilers/chillers, equipment repair, diesel/automotive, aviation repair, plumbing, and electrical.
What you’ll need
- High School Diploma or GED plus 4+ years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a mechanical/technical role. An associate degree, related technical/mechanical certifications, competitive equipment training, or related military experience may be considered toward the technical requirement.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet required background and physical assessment elements for obtaining and maintaining existing and new vendor credentialing.
- Customer-facing and team collaboration experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Basic computer literacy: Windows/email, system navigation, mobile apps, and multi-system data entry.
- Flexibility for early/late hours and potential overnights to meet Customer and business needs.
