Orthopedic Associates (OA) is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Clinical Informatics and EMR Optimization Specialist (AI Integration Focus) to join our team.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyzes and optimizes clinical workflows using Lean/Six Sigma methods, partnering across teams to improve EMR performance, ensures compliance with best practices, and translate clinical needs into effective system enhancements.
  • Serves as the EMR subject matter expert by providing hands-on support, delivering training, creating user resources, and assisting with system testing, upgrades, and new feature implementations.
  • Identifies and evaluates AI opportunities, partners with leadership to prioritize initiatives, supports pilot and rollout of AI-driven tools, and monitors outcomes to ensure alignment with clinical, operational, and strategic goals.
  • Analyzes EMR data to produce actionable insights, supports quality improvement efforts, and tracks key performance indicators related to workflow efficiency and system utilization.
  • Evaluates resource needs and financial viability of initiatives, conducting cost-benefit analyses and participating in vendor assessments to ensure efficient, scalable, and sustainable solutions.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in health informatics, nursing, information systems, or related field
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Experience working with an EMR system (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Epic)
  • Demonstrated experience as an EMR super user or similar role
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and training skills

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in health informatics, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Experience with AI tools, data analytics, or process improvement methodologies
  • Clinical background (RN, LPN, or allied health professional)
  • Certification in informatics (e.g., ANCC Informatics Nursing)
