Global Service Resources is looking for an experienced Clinical Lab Scientist in Torrance, CA.

Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist
Location: Torrance, CA 90502
Shift available: 
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Payrate: $55/hour

Responsibilities:
  • Calibrates and maintains lab instruments; performs quality control procedures.
  • Oversees Laboratory Assistants during testing procedures.
  • Performs biochemical testing on blood, urine, spinal fluid, and other specimens.
  • Conducts urine analysis to detect glucose, proteins, drugs, poisons, and other substances.
  • Performs hematology testing including blood counts, smears, hemoglobin, and hematocrits.
  • Cultures and identifies bacteria, fungi, parasites, and other microorganisms.
  • Performs blood bank procedures including typing, cross-matching, and antibody testing.
  • Conducts immunoserology and molecular pathology testing procedures.
  • Utilizes laboratory computer systems for test results and quality control documentation.
  • Instructs medical staff on proper specimen collection and handling requirements.
  • Trains laboratory scientists, trainees, and medical personnel on bench-level procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Active Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) License
  • Minimum 1+ year of recent CLS experience
