As a Clinical Laboratory Technician in our HLA Laboratory, you'll perform high-quality laboratory testing on biological specimens that supports organ, tissue, and stem cell transplantation. Working alongside a team of dedicated laboratory professionals, you'll help ensure accurate, timely test results while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do
- Perform routine testing of biological specimens in the HLA laboratory following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare and prequalify laboratory reagents used in testing procedures.
- Perform donor and patient testing while ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Prepare blood products and components, including irradiation and pooling procedures, as applicable.
- Participate in blood product inventory management and product issuing activities.
- Maintain complete, accurate laboratory records while protecting donor, patient, and employee confidentiality.
- Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and quality control of laboratory equipment.
- Identify equipment malfunctions and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor laboratory inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with laboratory team members to support operational excellence and exceptional customer service.
- Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements, including CLIA, CAP, FDA, AABB, state regulations, and accreditation standards.

What You'll Bring
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific discipline required.
- Must meet CLIA requirements for high-complexity testing.
Licensure
- State laboratory license, when required by applicable regulations.
Experience
- No prior professional laboratory experience required.
- Coursework or internship in clinical laboratory science or immunology is preferred.
- Experience working in a clinical, molecular diagnostics, immunology, transplant, or histocompatibility laboratory is a plus.
