Overview:Schedule: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends; Variable shifts starting between 4:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Under direct supervision of unlicensed or licensed CLS, MLT, or section manager, the Clinical Lab Technician II functions as an unlicensed or licensed staff member in a licensed clinical laboratory performing duties approved by California business code 1269, CLIA, and other regulatory agencies. Duties and responsibilities include patient preparation, specimen preparation, client service activities, preparation and management of reagents and supplies, and performing procedures and QC functions approved by regulatory agencies. Performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to the age and developmental issues of the patient population(s) being served. May be asked to take direction from a Lead or Senior level position.
