Job Title: Clinical Lab Technician
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 10/19/2026 01/23/2027
Shift: 12:00 AM-8:00 AM | 5.00 Hours/Day | 35.00 Hours/Week
Pay Range - $40/hr - $45/hr.

Duties:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other patient specimens.
• Collect, process, label, and prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Ensure accuracy of test results through quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Maintain compliance with NYSED, CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and Client laboratory policies.
• Document and report laboratory findings accurately and promptly.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and specimen handling protocols.
• Support laboratory operations in Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Bank, and related departments as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1 year General Clinical Technician experience.
• GENERAL CLINICAL TECHNICIAN EXPERIENCE
• Valid Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) Certification issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Primary Source Verification required.
• Minimum 1 year of General Clinical Technician / Clinical Laboratory experience.
• Experience performing laboratory testing, specimen processing, quality control, and maintaining laboratory standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Experience working in an acute care hospital, public health system, or high-volume laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission).

Education:

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Valid certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technician issued by NYSED, Primary Source verification required.
• BLS preferred.
