Job Summary
This position involves working in specialized laboratories and may include both highly skilled manual techniques and automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation.
Duties
- Perform analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids.
- Participate in operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
- Operate and maintain instruments, troubleshoot assays, and evaluate tests for accuracy.
- Assist with interpreting results and provide operational support to optimize testing.
- Work with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results.
- May assist with specimen collection.
- Strictly adhere to safety protocols to work with infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards.
