CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST (AHCL)

Job Summary:
Performs laboratory analysis of clinical specimens using established procedures. Reviews quality controls, specimen integrity, and instrumentation to ensure accurate and timely results.

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences (Required)
• Two years of experience in all aspects of clinical laboratory work (Required)

Licenses & Certifications:
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license (Required)

Key Responsibilities:
• Performs clinical laboratory testing and ensures accurate results.
• Handles STAT orders and reports critical values within required timeframes.
• Maintains quality control, instruments, reagents, and laboratory supplies.
• Follows laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Collects venous and arterial blood samples using proper techniques when required.
• Verifies patient identification, specimens, and test orders for accuracy.
• Completes documentation and test order entry accurately.
• Assists with regulatory survey readiness and laboratory operations.
• Supervises Laboratory Assistants as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
