Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at the Togus Va Medical Center in Augusta, Maine.

• Full-time Opportunity, Monday through Friday
• 8 hour days, 7:30am to 4:30pm

Job Requirements:

• The Position will have the following requirements:
• Bachelor of Science Degree
• Certification from a nationally recognized accrediting agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT etc.)
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of laboratory experience.

Job Duties include but not limitied to:

• Will perform a broad range of laboratory procedures, including advanced and complex laboratory procedures. Must be able to recognize deviation from expected results and use scientific principles to analyze and correct problems.
• Evaluate and solve problems related to collection and processing of biological specimens for analysis accounting for physiologic processes and requirements.
• Maintain and document the optimal functioning of laboratory equipment. Use, calibrate, and identify malfunctions; repair and perform preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
