A healthcare organization outside of Redding, CA is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join its laboratory team.
Position Highlights
- Full-time | 4 x 10-hour shifts
- Monday–Thursday | 2:00 PM–12:30 AM
- Starting at $50/hour + benefits
- Work across Hematology, Transfusion Service/Serology, Chemistry, Microbiology & Urinalysis
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on laboratory instrumentation
- Strong focus on bench microbiology, including cultures, organism identification and susceptibility testing
- Communicate STAT, urgent and critical values effectively to care providers
What We're Looking For
- California CLS license required
- Graduate of an accredited CLS program with internship
- 5+ years of progressive healthcare experience
- Strong microbiology experience, including:
- Gram stains and rapid strep testing
- Anaerobic and routine culture setup
- Positive blood culture processing
- Plate reading and sub-culturing
- Organism identification and susceptibility testing
- Comfortable performing QC and troubleshooting across multiple laboratory departments
