Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

A Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) – Generalist performs a wide range of laboratory testing to assist physicians in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases. This role requires expertise in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, urinalysis, and blood bank/transfusion services, while ensuring accurate and timely test results in compliance with laboratory standard

• Perform complex laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, urinalysis, and blood bank.
• Conduct blood typing, crossmatching, antibody screening, and other transfusion-related testing.
• Analyze, verify, and report laboratory results accurately and promptly.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure testing accuracy.
• Review abnormal or critical test results and communicate findings to physicians and healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate patient records and laboratory documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Follow infection control, laboratory safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all times.
• Assist with specimen collection, processing, and proper handling when required.
• Collaborate with pathologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
