Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a respected healthcare client near San Jose, California, to hire an experienced Local Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a 4-month contract assignment. Position Overview
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will perform a wide range of laboratory testing and procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely patient results.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing
• Analyze, verify, and report laboratory results accurately
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation
• Follow laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Collect and process biological specimens as needed
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, CLIA, CAP, and regulatory standards
• Troubleshoot equipment and testing inconsistencies
• Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to support patient care
• Adhere to infection control and laboratory safety protocols

Education & Certification Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field
• Current CA CLS License
• Current CA BLS Certification
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and regulatory standards
