Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) – 13-Week Contract – Near Susanville, CA

Weekly Pay Up to $3,200 Based on Experience 

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm specializing in healthcare talent acquisition, is currently partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Susanville, California, to hire a Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a 13-week contract assignment. Job Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of clinical laboratory testing procedures in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards
  • Analyze patient specimens in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, and Blood Bank departments
  • Conduct blood bank testing, compatibility testing, and transfusion-related procedures
  • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation
  • Review and verify laboratory test results for accuracy and quality assurance
  • Follow all laboratory safety, infection control, and quality management procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to support quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records
  • Participate in proficiency testing and quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting agency regulations

Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements

  • Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License required
  • ASCP or AMT Certification required
  • Minimum of one year of Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience required
  • Blood Bank experience required
  • Microbiology experience required
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control practices
  • Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a hospital laboratory setting
  • Previous travel healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Experience performing testing across multiple laboratory departments
