What You"ll Be Doing

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you"ll perform complex testing across multiple laboratory disciplines while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex automated and manual laboratory testing across various departments
• Analyze, verify, and report patient results accurately and within established turnaround times
• Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing activities
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, testing methodologies, and technical issues independently
• Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, and routine performance checks
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and laboratory standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory personnel to support patient care
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and patient records
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and daily laboratory operations
• Help uphold the highest standards of laboratory quality, efficiency, and patient safety

Qualifications We"re Looking For

Required Credentials

• Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License
• Bachelor"s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
• Current BLS Certification

Technical Experience

Experience performing testing in at least two or more of the following areas:

• Chemistry (Abbott Alinity)
• Hematology (Sysmex XN-3100)
• Coagulation (Stago STA-R MAX)
• Urinalysis (Sysmex UN Series)
• Blood Bank (Ortho Vision SWIFT)

Additional Skills

• Strong knowledge of Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and laboratory regulatory standards
• Ability to troubleshoot instruments and resolve technical issues independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to support departmental scheduling needs

Schedule & Pay

Pay Rate: $55.00 - $68.00 per hour

Available Shifts

• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Scheduling

• Must be available to work any 7 days of the week, including rotating weekends
• Schedule typically becomes more consistent after onboarding

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $68.00/hr.
