Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $25.50/hr Local

\n

Job Summary

\n

Processing of patient samples for analysis. This includes reviewing appropriateness of requests, accessioning, centrifugation, aliquotting, placing samples on analyzers, performing waived lab tests, archiving and sample preparation for specimens sent to another laboratory for testing. Maintains competency in the assigned duties in the laboratory; record keeping of reagents, chemicals and instrument Service Contracts; telephone coverage and other related duties. Works under direct supervision of senior technologist, laboratory Supervisor or manager of the clinical laboratory.

\n Required Skills & Experienc

• eOne (1)–two (2) years of experience in a clinical laboratory as a Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Assistant, or related job
• \n
• .Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with Service Chiefs, Department Chairs/Directors, Administrators, Managers, attending staff, principal investigators, and peers
• \n
• .Ability to work as part of the team and independently when required
• \n
• .Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks

• .Intermediate computer skills
