Description

Overview:

The Clinical Leader serves as the clinical expert for a designated patient care unit, providing leadership that advances excellence in patient care, nursing practice, quality outcomes, and staff development. This role partners with nursing leadership to assess and anticipate patient care needs using quality metrics, patient acuity and care trends, patient satisfaction data, and staff competency assessments. The Clinical Leader promotes evidence-based practice, supports nursing research and education, and fosters a collaborative environment focused on exceptional patient outcomes.

Through clinical expertise, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the Clinical Leader champions autonomous, accountable nursing practice while advancing patient advocacy, innovation, quality improvement, and a culture of trust and teamwork.

 

Schedule: 5 days, 8-hour shifts from 7am-3pm

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the clinical expert and resource for nursing staff on the assigned unit.
  • Provide clinical leadership to promote high-quality, safe, patient-centered care.
  • Analyze quality benchmarks, patient acuity, care trends, and patient satisfaction data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to anticipate patient care needs and support operational planning.
  • Lead and support evidence-based practice, nursing research, and clinical education initiatives.
  • Assess staff learning needs and coordinate educational strategies to enhance clinical competency.
  • Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and care delivery.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement through outcome measurement and performance initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and professional excellence.
Qualifications:

Education

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
  • Candidates currently enrolled in an accredited MSN program may be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the applicable clinical specialty.
  • Demonstrated experience applying evidence-based practice and patient outcome management.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and influence clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Licensure & Certification

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
  • National nursing certification required within six (6) months of hire.
