The Clinical Manager provides clinical leadership, operational oversight, and regulatory accountability for behavioral health teams providing services to clients in the Cottonwood office. This role supports and oversees service delivery, program integrity, and interdisciplinary clinical teams. The Clinical Manager monitors existing services for quality service delivery, participates in program development, and coordination of policies and procedures. This position supervises clinical staff assigned to the Cottonwood location. Partners with Clinical Director in developing, leading, and evaluating quality clinical services.
The Clinical Manager ensures services are delivered in accordance with AHCCCS, ADHS/DBHS requirements, Joint Commission standards, and organizational policies, while promoting clinical excellence, efficient workflows, and data-informed decision making.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversees all aspects of clinical service delivery for adult behavioral health services.
· Outreach and partnership with community stakeholders and partners such as probation, DCS, and the Verde Valley Medical Center to meet the needs of the community.
Provides clinical oversight and guidance for clinical staff.
Ensure treatment services meet medical necessity, scope of practice, and evidence-based practice standards.
Ensure multidisciplinary team service delivery and required clinical oversight occurs in alignment with organizational policy.
Supports teams in managing high-acuity, complex, and high-risk client cases.
Monitor and support appropriate service utilization and documentation compliance.
Promote trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care practices across programs.
· Provide supervision to Interns as needed
· Provide clinical supervision for licensure to BHPs holding associate licensure
Oversee daily clinical operations for assigned programs and teams.
Monitor service access, productivity, scheduling efficiency, and team workflows.
· Monitor quality indicators including:
o Timeliness of services
o Treatment plan quality
o Clinical documentation accuracy
o Crisis and safety management
· Lead corrective action plans when compliance concerns are identified
Identify barriers to care delivery and implement Lean process improvements.
Coordinate across departments including:
Crisis services
Inpatient/residential programs
Care coordination
Medical providers
· Partner with Clinical Director and Operations staff, as well as other departments, to ensure quality clinical services are being offered and meet quality outcomes.
· The Clinical Manager is an active member of the organization leadership team, participates in leadership meetings and completes tasks as appropriate to clinical service delivery and quality across services.
· Partner with Quality Department to address and lead clinical quality improvement projects.
· Other duties as assigned in support of Clinical Services
· This position is a managerial position with a high degree of responsibility.
· This position carries a high level of exposure to confidential and proprietary information. Includes personnel, business, clinical and other private information.
· Position requires a high level of independent judgement, autonomy and responsibility.
· This position requires a great deal of public, client and collegial contact. It calls for strong public relations skills and problem-solving skills involving diplomacy and sensitivity.
QUALIFICATIONS
· 21 years of age or older
· Hold a license under A.R.S. Title 32 (LPC, LCSW); an associate license may be considered
· Must be able to provide or obtain an AZDPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
· Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
