Our organization is currently seeking a full-time Board Certified/Eligible Metabolic Geneticist to join the Department of Pediatrics. This role includes a faculty appointment at the School of Medicine, aligned with your training and experience.

There are numerous opportunities for both intramural and extramural collaboration, as well as program development. The clinical genetics practice offers a diverse range of experiences, including neurogenetics, cardiogenetics, cancer genetics, dysmorphology, and congenital anomalies. Additionally, a new inpatient facility is set to open later this year.
Clinical Laboratory DevelopmentOur clinical lab is in the process of establishing a cutting-edge genetic and genomic testing laboratory to deliver comprehensive diagnostic services throughout the health system, particularly benefiting the Inland Empire region.
Educational ProgramsThe School of Medicine also hosts an accredited graduate program (MS) in genetic counseling.
Medical Center OverviewStrategically situated in Southern California, our Medical Center and Children’s Hospital features the largest Level IV NICU in the state, catering to approximately 25% of California's population. The Children’s Hospital is among the few facilities in California offering pediatric cardiac transplants and ECMO services. We are also developing a Perinatal Care Center focused on prenatal diagnosis to support a significant number of high-risk pregnancies and infants with congenital anomalies diagnosed before birth. Our Medical Center and Children’s Hospital provide specialized team centers for conditions such as cystic fibrosis, hemoglobinopathies, spina bifida, and craniofacial anomalies.
Compensation and BenefitsThe starting base salary for this position ranges from $238,000 to $278,000, depending on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives and is subject to departmental compensation plans. Detailed discussions regarding compensation will occur during the recruitment process.
