The Clinical Nurse provides direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients across the continuum of care. The role requires rapid clinical assessment, sound judgment, and adherence to professional nursing standards in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. The Clinical Nurse plans, implements, and evaluates patient-centered care, safeguards patient rights, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Practice is aligned with organizational values, quality improvement principles, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
Deliver direct nursing care based on comprehensive assessment of physical, psychosocial, developmental, educational, and spiritual patient needs.
Develop, implement, document, and communicate goal-directed plans of care.
Monitor patient status and promptly identify, escalate, and respond to changes requiring clinical intervention.
Maintain a safe patient care environment and comply with infection control and patient safety standards.
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to coordinate care and support clinical decision-making.
Participate in quality improvement, performance improvement, and organizational initiatives.
Serve as charge nurse or preceptor when assigned, supporting unit operations and staff development.
Maintain required competencies, continuing education, and mandatory training.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
Hospital experience preferred.
