    Clinical Nurse Coordinator Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

    Location: Hermitage, TN
    Job Type: Full-Time | Regular
    Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends (2 per month)

    Are you a skilled and confident nurse leader ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to join the Progressive Care Unit of a leading hospital in Hermitage, TN. In this role, you will help guide a dedicated team, support excellent patient outcomes, and ensure a seamless, patient-centered care experience in a dynamic acute care environment.


    Position Overview

    As the PCU Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and driving unit excellence alongside nursing leadership. You will mentor clinical staff, coordinate patient care, and serve as a frontline leader to ensure compliance, performance, and compassionate care delivery.

    You'll be part of a 34-bed unit that specializes in caring for complex patients including those with chest pain, stroke symptoms, hypertensive crises, sepsis, peritoneal dialysis, and more. The team manages continuous BiPAP and titrates IV drips such as amiodarone, cardizem, heparin, lasix, and protonix.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver and coordinate patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team

    • Support admissions, discharges, and transitions of care

    • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to nursing staff

    • Assist with scheduling, staffing needs, and workflow optimization

    • Monitor care delivery and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards

    • Champion clinical excellence and patient experience initiatives

    • Collaborate with unit leadership to improve performance and outcomes


    Qualifications

    • Current RN license in the state of Tennessee (or compact license)

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Required

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of start

    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of start

    • NIH Stroke Certification within 30 days of start

    • Previous Charge Nurse experience in an acute care setting Required


    Unit Details

    • Unit Name: 7th Floor PCU Specialties include COVID, Neuro, and Pulmonary

    • Number of Beds: 34

    • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5

    • Schedule: Full-Time, Nights (7P7A), with rotating weekends (FriSun, 2 per month)


    Compensation & Benefits

    • Hourly Rate: $34.24 $45.75 (based on years of experience)

    • Shift Differentials:

      • Nights: +$3.75/hr

      • Weekends: +$6.00/hr

    • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000

    • Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000(must live 50+ miles from facility)
