The Clinical Nurse Educator provides a variety of teaching for staff, patients, families and the community. The focus areas are staff education, patient/family education, and community education.
SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the Practice Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Coordinates and participates in the orientation process of new employees.
Coordinates and maintains patient/family/staff education programs.
Coordinates and participates in community/screening programs.
Communicates with other departments/disciplines in providing quality care to patients and/or family.
Develops and revises policies and procedures for Patient Care Services.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
BSN preferred, MSN accepted.
Must have 3 years psychiatric nurse experience.
Current RN License in Louisiana or multi-state compact license.
Must be adaptable to change, be decisive, and demonstrate foresight.
Exhibits organizational and leadership ability.
Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel
