The Clinical Nurse Role

The Clinical Nurse is a vital part of the healthcare team dedicated to maintaining continuous and high-quality patient care. This position requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and patient populations.

As a Rapid Response nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care to critically ill oncology patients.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Integrates and practices according to the City of Hope Professional Practice Model to deliver care service excellence. In alignment with City of Hopes mission and values, the Division of Nursing and Patient Care Services vision and mission, and with a continuous focus on the patient, family, and community, carries out the nursing process, coordinates interdisciplinary care planning, documents according to standards, including validation of the patient and caregivers understanding of the plan of care and expected outcomes.

The nurse is a change agent committed to lifelong learning, professional development, and embodiment of City of Hopes organizational mission and values and the values and ethos of the profession of nursing.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work 7pm - 7:30am - Nights
  • Full time

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Current CA RN License
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS through American Heart Association
  • ICU Critical Care experience preferred
  • Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate or Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate: Must be obtained within 6 months of hire
