    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced Nursing Director to lead the Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. This position oversees clinical, operational, and financial performance while ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. The Nursing Director will also support the development of nursing leaders and drive initiatives that improve patient outcomes.

    What You'll Do

    • Provide leadership and direction for the Med-Surg/Telemetry unit.

    • Oversee staffing, quality, safety, service, and patient experience.

    • Mentor nursing leaders using Evidence-Based Leadership practices.

    • Collaborate with physicians, staff, and senior leadership to improve patient care.
    • Lead performance improvement initiatives and manage departmental budgets.
    • Ensure staff are competent in nursing processes and equipment use.

    • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize patient safety.
    • Develop and coordinate orientation programs, continuing education, and in-services.
    • Support departmental performance improvement activities, patient satisfaction, and outcomes.

    Qualifications

    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas

    • Bachelors in Nursing required; Masters preferred

    • 5+ years of progressive acute care leadership experience

    • Strong background in Med-Surg/Telemetry preferred

    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and implement quality initiatives
