Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Manager to oversee our nutrition team at Oneida Health, a 60-bed hospital and 160 bed Nursing Home located in Oneida, NY.   This position will oversee a fulltime and part-time dietitian and 1 fulltime diet technician.  This is a Monday-Friday position, requiring no weekends or holidays!  Flexible schedule offered.

What You'll Do

  • oversee the clinical team in providing nutritional care to the acute care, skilled nursing and rehab residents;
  • meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;
  • be an active member of the interdisciplinary care conferences;
  • represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff; and/or
  • support the food service operation as needed.

What You Bring

  • Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in NY is required;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.

Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
