The Clinic Manager is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating staff and business functions at numerous clinical locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Ensures provisions of safe, high-quality patient care by the staff.
2.Evaluates and develops performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
3.Oversee the daily administration and operation of the physician practices, including front desk processes and back-office clinical operations.
4.Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
5.Assign duties and supervise staff and providers to ensure proper staffing and distribution of assignments to accomplish required tasks and organizational goals.
6.Coordinates with medical and administrative staff to ensure optimal staffing levels and scheduling to meet patients’ needs.
7.Utilizes multiple reporting systems to achieve operational goals, including but not limited to payroll, supplies, electronic medical record (eClinicalWorks).
8.Reviews processes and make recommendations for improvement and standardization.
9.Leads initiatives for continuous improvement in healthcare services including patient satisfaction and quality care metrics.
10.Collaborates and interacts with other departments to resolve problems, investigate issues, follow up on complaints to ensure compliance with policies.
11.Develop goals for satellite operations and ensure that these goals align with organizational goals.
12. Carries out inspections to determine operational condition of clinical utilities
and equipment per OSHA standards.
13. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in HMG values.
14.Ensure that Quality goals are achieved by the practices. Coordinates with clinic quality champions and value-based care coordinators embedded in the clinic.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in health or business administration (preferred).
•Minimum of five (5) years of clinical office management experience in primary care clinical practice(s) (required).
•Experience with eClinicalWorks / eCW is (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this position are medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently. The Clinic Manager is required to have close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform an activity, such as assessing patients, and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading. Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact. Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
