The Clinical Operations Coordinator is a strategic, behind-the-scenes role that drives the successful launch of our clinical trials. This position is ideal for someone with a strong healthcare or clinical trials background who enjoys project-based work, relationship building, and business development- while keeping complex processes organized. The right person will be adaptable and driven to support study readiness through strong organization, communication, documentation, vendor coordination, and operational follow-through capabilities.


Clinical Operations Coordinator's Main Objective

Overall, the Clinical Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting efficient, accurate, and organized start-up operations across clinical trials:

  • Identify, coordinate, and help manage external healthcare vendors needed to support study protocols
  • Build strong working relationships with external partners and internal teams
  • Complete study start-up activities accurately and on time to support clinic readiness
  • Create internal training materials with strong attention to detail
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across teams, clinics, and partners as study needs evolve
  • Manage deadlines, requests, and follow-ups across multiple active studies
  • Provide dependable communication and consistent execution with internal and external stakeholders
  • Carefully and efficiently complete electronic medical record builds and configurations
  • Equip clinical teams with the materials and operational support needed to launch studies successfully
  • Help troubleshoot operational issues and keep projects moving forward
  • Support cross-functional communication across geographically distributed teams

Skills Needed to Win

  • Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Required: At least 1 year of professional experience in healthcare, clinical research, project coordination, administrative operations, vendor coordination, or systems-related work
  • Required: Strong organization, communication, and time management skills
  • Required: Comfort with medical terminology, electronic medical record systems, and technical systems
  • Required: Ability to work on-site Monday-Friday in the New Orleans area
  • Preferred: Familiarity with clinical research or other regulated healthcare environments
  • Preferred: Experience with project-based work involving multiple stakeholders and shifting timelines
