This newly elevated leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced Mammography professional who is passionate about both patient care and team development.

 

As the Breast Imaging Clinical Manager, you will provide overall leadership, direction, and operational oversight for a dedicated Breast Imaging Center while remaining actively engaged in clinical care. This unique hybrid role allows you to spend approximately 50% of your time performing breast imaging services and 50% leading operations, developing staff, and driving excellence across the center.

Responsibilities:

Effective Center Management and Operations: 

  • Overall leadership and direction for a dedicated Breast Imaging Center, and combines leadership responsibilities with direct patient care, allocating approximately 50% of time to breast imaging/scanning duties and 50% to management and administrative responsibilities.  
  • Ensure daily schedule optimization daily to maximize staff productivity and resource utilization. 
  • Supervise daily Breast Imaging operations. 
  • Conduct center meetings with staff to communicate pertinent information. 
  • Manage workflow to ensure the effective use of human resources, time, equipment and supplies. 
  • Control clinical expenses and resulting net income. 
  • Provide solid leadership for center employees; supports management and displays a strong positive attitude at all times. 
  • Perform mammography procedures.

Staff Productivity:   

  • Recruit, coach and develop clinical staff. 
  • Ensure that all Center employees are performing in a satisfactory way and adding value to Center productivity 
  • Actively and routinely interfaces with employees to assess and address questions, issues and concerns on all fronts; be the “first point of contact” for employees 
  • Conducts annual (and periodic, as necessary) performance evaluations on all employees in a timely manner and ensures that total compensation reflects their contributions and performance 

Budgetary Responsibility:  

  • Ensure productivity, staffing efficiency and operational performance. 
  • Participate in capital planning and equipment replacement decisions. 
  • Monitor with leadership center revenue, profitability, budgets and expenses. 

Physician Relations & Business Development:  

  • Maintain referral source relationships to ensure clinical outcomes align with physician and patient needs. 
  • Work in tandem with the Marketing Manager to maximize opportunities for the Center 

Regulatory Compliance & Quality: 

  • Ensure MQSA, ACR, HIPAA, OSHA and regulatory compliance. 
  • Lead accreditation, inspections and audit readiness. 
  • Oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities. 
Qualifications:

Education: 

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program and ARRT registered 
  • Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification(s) remain active
  • Certified in Mammography, in addition to X-RAY 

Prior Experience: 

  • Knowledge of diagnostic mammography procedures and standards 
  • Skilled in operation of equipment of multiple modalities 
  • 8 years of experience in area of specialization  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience 
  • Registry in Breast Ultrasound
