Job Description Summary

Under the Director of Administrative Operations, is responsible for all aspects of order management including clinical record review for necessity and accuracy in accordance with CMS regulations

Job Description

Essential functions:
1. Assesses orders for necessity of signature following the CMS Conditions of Participation.
a) Utilizes reports for identifying orders to be reviewed
b) Reviews clinical documentation for necessity for orders created.
2. Ensures orders are sent to appropriate physician
a) Reviews referral and clinical records for correct physician
b) Ensures physicians align with OASIS
c) Calls MD offices as necessary to identify appropriate physician
3. Assists with processing of all orders
a. Sends orders to physicians via appropriate method
b. Able to print orders as needed
c. Receives signed orders and tracks into the system
d. Follows up on outstanding orders
4. Promotes excellence in customer service
a. Develops strong working relationships with staff in physician offices
b. Follows up on requests in timely manner
5. Demonstrates correct protocols for faxing and copying patient information
6. Maintains confidentiality of patient information following HIPAA guidelines
Job Requirements:
LPN or PTA license.
Home care experience is highly preferred.
