Job Summary and Qualifications

HOURS: 7am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday-Alternative hours as needed)

The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for providing general clinical and pharmacy services in compliance with regulatory and hospital policies/procedures. The Pharmacist will provide patient care through the use of knowledge, skills and abilities in compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals. What you will do in this role:

  • Serves as an infectious Diseases subject matter expert for the department and facility
  • Helps lead and mentor aspects of the antimicrobial management program (AMP)
  • Works closely with facility pharmacists to interpret prescribing and microbiological trends
  • Conducts facility specific medication use evaluations (MUEs) to determine prescribing and microbiological trends
  • Helps facilitate facility pharmacist involvement with division AMP education
  • Helps prepare and update facility specific protocols and procedures
  • Develops and implements a strategy for expanding and improving AMP at the facility
  • Helps develops institutional guidelines for the management of common infection syndromes
  • Helps with scheduling of meetings, agenda preparation and needed documents for the committee
  • Educates the pharmacy staff and others as needed on technological changes related to AMP

What qualifications you will need:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy required
  • PGY2 infectious disease (Preferred)
  • 1+ years in Hospital setting (Infectious disease, Preferred)
  • Board Certification (Preferred)
