Job Summary and Qualifications Our Pharmacists provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services for hospital inpatients. The role of the Pharmacy is to promote safe and effective medication therapy for all patients and to provide oversight and leadership of the medication use system. Schedule: 12:30-9pm on weekdays and 2-10:30pm every 4th weekendWhat you will do in this role: You will interpret orders and transcribe into the pharmacy computer system. You will accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals. You will monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose. You will suggest appropriate, cost-effective therapeutic medication alternatives to medical staff. You will sustain the hospital formulary, minimizing non-formulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic interchanges and promote rational drug therapy selection. You will assist with clinical services such as drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing and other programs as defined by Pharmacy Leadership. You will complete notification reports regarding medication errors and adverse drug reactions. You will provide oversight of staff schedules.
