Summary:

Reviews, evaluates and dispenses individual drug orders including unit dose medications, intravenous additive preparations, total parenteral nutrition, chemotherapeutic agents, and investigational agents; interacts with nurses and prescribers to consult on medication and treatments along with drug therapy; monitors the drug therapy and offers cost effective alternatives, as appropriate; counsels patients in the proper use of prescribed drugs; oversees and directs pharmacy technician staff in the execution of technical functions. This position will be responsible for supporting the infusion and retail specialty pharmacy operations. Salary: Starting annual salary of $150,462 plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

Required Education and ExperienceLicense RequirementLicense to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New YorkEducation and Experience1. Doctor of Pharmacy degree; or2. Master’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience; or3. Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience.NOTES:1. Incumbents must be credentialed as a member of the organization Medical Staff (Allied Health Professional) within four months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
