The Department of Pharmacy at Mount Auburn Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist in Medical Oncology to join our team. This pharmacist will work in a mainly decentralized role, including providing clinical coverage for medical oncology patients, potential cross coverage of medical/surgical patients, and teaching opportunities within our Pharmacy Residency Program.
This position will operate on a predominantly Monday-Friday day shift schedule, with rotating weekends/holidays, and evening/overnight coverage as needed.
Pharmacists work closely with other health care practitioners to meet the various needs of our patients. Pharmacists review and approve medication orders, monitor drug therapies, and provide drug information. They improve the health of patients by providing pharmaceutical care to individual patients and by serving as a resource to physicians, nurses, and other health professionals.
Pharmacists take on charge responsibility and supervise and direct support staff.
Clinical Pharmacists must have the ability to work independently with minimal to no direct supervision. They must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
The Clinical Pharmacist assumes direct responsibility of medication distribution, IV admixtures, safety and efficacy of prescribed drug therapy in accordance with laws and regulations governing pharmacists and the practice of pharmacy by the appropriate state and federal agencies.
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for the optimization of drug therapy by identifying, resolving, and preventing drug related problems and improving therapeutic outcomes through their work in drug distribution, centralized pharmacy operations, and/or in patient care rounds.
The Clinical Pharmacist will participate in patient care rounds as required by their assigned shifts and are required to staff every fourth weekend.

Pay Range: $120,640.00 USD - $162,364.80 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
