Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Pharmacist Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of operational specialty practice areas (IV room, diversion/narcotics management, informatics, residency program director/coordinator, and others) within the pharmacy department and providing pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist as needed.
- They will provide user support, perform maintenance activities and troubleshooting, monitor proper functionality, and ensure policies and procedures are developed, implemented, documented, and followed.
- The operations specialist coordinates upgrade testing activities, education, and serves as the subject matter expert for the operational specialty practice area.
- Operations specialists are also expected to serve as pharmacist in charge of licensed pharmacies and serve as point of contact in the temporary absence of other pharmacy leadership and/or take on interim leadership roles when needed.

- Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification (applicable to the specialty practice area) or other nationally recognized training or certification (applicable to the specialty practice area).
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
