WPH is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to provide clinical pharmacy services throughout the UPMC Behavioral Health Service Line. This position affords unlimited opportunities to apply your clinical knowledge, expertise, and skills to provide direct patient care services
The successful candidate will work closely with WPH Pharmacy Leadership Team to achieve a high standard of excellence in evidence-based pharmacy practice and initiatives to meet the clinical quality and safety goals of the pharmacy department and the organization. Services will be provided in hospital-based, ambulatory clinics including the WPH Complete Pharmacy Care Clinic and by consult throughout the UPMC Behavioral Health Network. Operational & Dispensing Excellence
Communication, Education & Practice Advancement
Communicates effectively with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of pharmaceutical care.
Actively participates in stewardship and restricted medication programs.
Serves as preceptor and mentor; develops training and experiential education for students, residents, and staff.
Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy
B.S. degree in Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD degree; PharmD preferred.
Required: Current licensure as a Pharmacist in practicing state
Completion of ASHP accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency OR 3 years clinical pharmacy experience
Knowledge and expertise in advanced pharmacy practice and service, comprehensive medication management, and evidence-based medicine in specialized area appropriate for clinical assignments
BPS Board Certification preferred.
Experience in health system pharmacy preferred
Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to innovate and lead change
Commitment to continuous professional development and program management
