Clinical Pharmacist - Patient-Focused, Non-Retail Setting

Location: Kentucky (Onsite)

Schedule: First Shift (Training: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET)

We're looking for a Clinical Pharmacist who is passionate about patient care and ready to step into a non-retail, high-impact role. This position focuses on phone-based patient counseling, therapy management, and collaboration with care teams to improve outcomes in a specialized pharmacy setting.

What You'll Do

• Conduct in-depth reviews of patient medications (interactions, adherence, dosing, side effects)
• Provide patient counseling by phone and answer therapy-related questions
• Document clinical interventions and maintain accurate patient records
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to coordinate care
• Educate patients on medications, including injection training when needed
• Ensure compliance with REMS programs, pharmacy regulations, and safety standards
• Verify prescriptions and support accurate dispensing processes
• Assist with patient onboarding, intake, and ongoing care coordination
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation as required

What We're Looking For

• Active Pharmacist license in Kentucky (or ability to obtain)
• 3+ years of pharmacist experience (clinical or operational)
• Strong patient counseling experience (phone-based preferred)
• Comfortable spending most of the day on the phone (7-8 hours)
• Solid clinical knowledge and pharmacotherapy understanding
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work onsite within commuting distance

Nice to Have

• Oncology experience or BCOP certification (or interest in pursuing)
• Experience with REMS programs
• Background working with multidisciplinary care teams (home health, hospice, etc.)
• Injection training / patient education experience

• Fully onsite in Kentucky
• Non-retail, patient-focused pharmacy

This is a Contract position based out of Shepherdsville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr.
