Weekend Clinical Pharmacist – Behavioral Health Hospital
Location: Fayetteville, AR
Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a unique contract opportunity with an inpatient behavioral health hospital in the Fayetteville area. This position is centered around recurring weekend coverage with additional weekday opportunities available to support the Director of Pharmacy during planned absences.

Assignment Details
Start: August 22, 2026 (Hospital Orientation August 10–11; Pharmacy Training Week of August 17)
Duration: Ongoing Contract Coverage
Primary Schedule: Approximately one weekend per month, with additional weekday coverage available as needed
Hours: Monday–Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm | Saturday–Sunday: 8:00am–12:00pm with weekend on-call coverage from 12:00pm until 8:00am the following morning
Requirements
- Active Arkansas Pharmacist License in good standing
- Hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Behavioral health experience is a plus
- Experience with HCS and Omnicell is beneficial but not required (training provided)
- Excellent communication and independent decision-making skills
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmacist coverage for scheduled weekends and Director of Pharmacy PTO
- Verify medication orders and assess therapy appropriateness
- Prepare and dispense medications while maintaining accurate documentation
- Restock Omnicell cabinets and maintain floor stock inventory
- Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapy, interactions, and treatment recommendations
- Answer medication-related questions from providers, nursing staff, and patients
- Support safe, compliant pharmacy operations within an inpatient behavioral health setting
