Position Summary
The Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and optimizing daily pharmacy operations within the inpatient setting to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care. This position serves as a clinical and operational resource for pharmacy staff, collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, supports regulatory compliance, and oversees designated pharmacy programs and initiatives. The coordinator assists in workflow managements leadership and coordination of clinical pharmacy services, pharmacy quality and performance improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, pharmacy informatics, and medication-use safety programs.
Education
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
Current New Jersey Pharmacist license required
Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency preferred; PGY2 residency or equivalent experience in Health-System Pharmacy Administration, Critical Care, Informatics, or related specialty preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of hospital or health-system pharmacy experience.
Strong knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and medication safety standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary initiatives and work independently
Proficient with Microsoft Office, electronic health records, pharmacy information systems, automated dispensing technology, and medication-use analytics platforms
Skills
Establishes effective working relationships with pharmacists, technicians, nursing, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Facilitates interdisciplinary communication related to medication management and patient care.
Demonstrates effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Communicates clearly in both verbal and written formats.
