POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in supporting pharmacy operations by ensuring efficient prescription processing, accurate order entry, outstanding customer service, and seamless collaboration with pharmacists and healthcare providers.
This position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and patient-centered service.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform accurate prescription and medication order entry.
· Maintain efficient production while ensuring exceptional accuracy.
· Support daily pharmacy workflow to ensure timely medication delivery.
· Assist pharmacists with prescription preparation and workflow management.
· Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, physicians, nurses, and residential staff.
· Resolve routine questions and escalate clinical issues appropriately.
· Maintain accurate documentation per pharmacy policies.
· Support inventory management and medication packaging operations.
· Assist with quality assurance and workflow improvement.
· Comply with all federal regulations and Maryland Board of Pharmacy requirements.
· Work collaboratively in a positive team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
· Maryland Registered Pharmacy Technician (or eligible for registration)
· Strong computer skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
· Attention to detail
· Positive, team-oriented attitude
Preferred
· Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy order entry experience
· Closed-door pharmacy experience
· Medication packaging experience
· Experience communicating with healthcare professionals and residential facilities
