Job Summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management is seeking a highly motivated General Anesthesiologist to join our expanding team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide a wide variety of anesthesia care while contributing to the departments academic research and teaching missions.

Position Highlights • Provide anesthesia services for a broad range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties. • Deliver high-quality perioperative care and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical continuum. • Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students in both clinical and didactic settings. • Participate in departmental academic activities such as research, quality improvement, and scholarly projects. • Engage in collaborative multidisciplinary clinical care across the institution.

Requirements

MD, DO, or equivalent degree. Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology (ABA or equivalent). Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas. Demonstrated interest in education, scholarship, and academic contributions. Commitment to excellence in patient care, teamwork, and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with subspecialty training in cardiothoracic, obstetric, pediatric, regional, neurosurgical, or transplant anesthesia, as well as critical care, pain management, hyperbaric medicine, and perioperative medicine, are welcome to apply.
