The Clinical Program Director is an executive-level leader responsible for overseeing an established adolescent residential mental health program. This role provides clinical, operational, and financial oversight while building program structure, team culture, and long-term growth strategy.
This position oversees a 24/7 residential setting and requires flexibility, accountability, and strong leadership presence.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a multi-home adolescent residential program
• Implement established clinical models, curriculum, policies, and systems
• Hire, onboard, supervise, and develop clinical staff
• Provide individual and group supervision
• Maintain a small caseload of 2 to 6 clients and families
• Lead therapy groups and community meetings
• Oversee clinical documentation, conduct chart audits, and ensure authorization readiness
• Manage census tracking and support continuity of care
• Oversee program schedules including academics, therapy, meals, outings, appointments, and family programming
• Partner with medical, operations, facilities, compliance, HR, admissions, and outreach teams
• Support community relations and represent the program at local events as needed
• Lead crisis response including high-acuity situations using trauma-informed approaches
• Maintain readiness for licensing reviews, audits, and accreditation surveys
• Monitor program budget, staffing ratios, and overall financial performance
• Prepare and present operating reports to executive leadership
• Participate in leadership meetings and long-term strategic planning
The Clinical Program Director serves as the senior on-site leader responsible for program stability, culture, outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
Compensation:
$140,000 to $158,000 depending on experience
Schedule:
Full-time, exempt. Flexibility required outside of standard business hours to support a 24/7 residential program.
