The University of Minnesota's Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist for a clinical track faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor level.
This faculty role serves as the Director of Behavioral Health at the Community-University Health Care Center (CUHCC). CUHCC is a community-based Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides integrated care for a highly diverse population of adults and children in partnership with the University of Minnesota, and also serves as a training site for future healthcare professionals.
This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical and administrative leadership with the development of training and research opportunities and the implementation of optimal care delivery systems in an FQHC setting. The faculty member in this role will exercise creativity and strategic thinking in clinical care management and clinical programming, teach and supervise team members and trainees, and have the opportunity to engage in research and other scholarly activities through the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Position Highlights:
0.50 FTE (20 hours per week) to provide strategic leadership and management of behavioral health services at CUHCC
0.20 FTE (8 hours per week) for clinical and administrative supervision
0.10 FTE (2 hours per week) for academic activities, including attending faculty meetings, Grand Rounds, and other department-based activities
0.20 FTE (8 hours per week) for direct patient care
Role Description:
The Director of Behavioral Health at CUHCC is responsible for overseeing the development of mental health services and clinical placements, as well as managing the annual department budget and a strategic work plan. This role also ensures that all programs comply with federal and state regulations and focuses on providing integrated, trauma-informed care across the organization.
The ideal candidate has 10 or more years of experience in: Leading innovation in trauma-informed care for highly diverse populations, including BIPOC communities and individuals with co-morbid diagnoses. They should also possess significant expertise in financial strategy, grant management, and cultivating collaborative relationships with external stakeholders and community agencies.
Reports to: The Chief Clinical Officer at CUHCC and the Department Head, Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Clinical Psychology training program.
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Licensure.
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA category while in the United States
Demonstrated knowledge and training in trauma-informed mental health care.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $55,000.
Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
