Baystate Health is seeking a Per Diem Clinical Psychologist

What You Will Do:

As the Baystate Clinical Psychologist you will be under the direction of the Physician, this role provides Ph.D. clinical services to patients, couples, and families being treated in the Outpatient Clinic. Demonstrates doctorate level knowledge of developmental stages, personality structure and development, mental health diagnoses, current treatment modalities, and psychological testing methods. Works in a variety of settings as part of an interdisciplinary team, this role applies psychological knowledge and expertise to a group of elderly patients with cognitive impairment at Brightwood Health Center.

Additional responsibilities will include:

Provides age appropriate treatment to patients. Evaluates patients to assess presenting problem, contributing history, and current mental status Develops behaviorally specific treatment plans including measurable treatment goals. Completes all related documentation related to treatment in the clinical record according to establish standards consistent with NCQA guidelines. Manages the necessary documentation and provides the information required by third party payers to secure reimbursement. Provides psychological testing as requested or necessary for assessment or treatment purposes. Provides strategic information and input to the Program manager as needed for service quality evaluation, and program development. Conducts meetings with families, significant others and other service providers as delineated in the treatment plan. As supported by the Program Manager participates in teaching activities and academic activities. Clinically supervises practicum students, post doctoral students and other clinicians as requested. Participates in other special activities of the department as requested by the Program Manager.

What You Will Need:

Doctorate from an accredited program Licensed Psychologist is required

Skills:

Experience in providing treatment in outpatient mental health settings . Knowledge of medical terminology and of health care systems. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills, written and oral. Knowledge base related to issues of cultural competence.
