    We're looking for someone to join our team as a Clinical Quality Improvement Coordinator-IBH who:

    The Clinical Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Integrated Behavioral Health Department's Quality and Compliance Management Program. With oversight and direction from the Senior Director of BH, this position is responsible to coordinate and ensure quality, as well as compliance with all behavioral health contractual agreements as well as HRSA and Joint Commission standards. The Clinical Quality Improvement Coordinator also ensures the IBH therapists are meeting the standard billing and quality care through development of workflows within the EHR.

    Essential Functions:

    • With assistance from the Senior Director of BH, the Clinical Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating behavioral health program compliance with contract agreements, local, state, and federal regulations, performance standards, performance improvement plans, customer service objectives, and Department of Health Care Services laws, regulations, and state plan amendments.
    • Responsible for implementing and maintaining improvement activities to meet the requirements of the FQHCs.
    • Helps design and provide staff development activities to meet quality standards.
    • Successfully develops and implements quality improvement processes.
    • Establish work plan metrics with data collection methodology for accurate trending reports.
    • Monitor and recommend actions to address site risks or vulnerabilities.
    • Comprehensive recommendation strategies to improve and streamline program activities.
    • Collaborates with internal and external entities to identify and problem solve quality improvement related issues.
    • Prepares and maintains peer reviews and provides appropriate follow-up.
    • Oversee the adherence to medical record requests and ensures all releases meet the required HIPAA standards.
    • Develops assessment activities and tools to track, analyze, and present patient/client outcome measures, process improvement activities, program performance, and customer satisfaction, along with tracking mechanisms relating to these materials.
    • Provides reports and data summaries relevant to performance improvement activities.
    • Coordinates/participates in the development and oversight of the Behavioral Health Department's compliance program.
    • Must be able to operate standard office equipment including: a keyboard, copier, telephone, and calculator.
    • On occasion must be able to work irregularly scheduled hours.
    • May require some travel between sites and occasional out-of-area travel.
    • Provides other administrative support as required.

    Other Experience and Skills Required:

    • Normal office environment.
    • Knowledge and understanding of California Medi-Cal standards of care for Mental Health, and the principles of quality and performance improvement processes.
    • Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
    • Ability to work well with others in a professional and team-oriented environment.
    • Ability to reach decisions and lead action within scope of responsibilities.
    • Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written).
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data and prepare summary reports.
    • Ability to monitor quality control standards.

    You'll be successful with the following Qualifications:

    • Valid Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC),

    OR

    • a valid license with the Board of Psychology as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist

    AND

    • 3-4 years of working in community mental health or Substance Use Disorder program is desired
    • Demonstrated organizational, and management skills in a behavioral health care delivery organization.
    • Knowledge and understanding of California Medi-Cal standards for mental health out-patient services and for substance abuse treatment.
    • Knowledge of performance and audit standards for HRSA and FQHC requirements.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and demonstrated ability to analyze data and write concise narrative and statistical reports.
    • Valid California driver's license, auto insurance, and personal transportation.
