    Job Description

    Job Summary:

    Applies extensive knowledge of clinical research protocols and processes to design research projects of large scope and high degrees of complexity. Effectively manages multiple projects and makes determinations on feasibility of clinical trials within the research group. Leads the operational and administrative functions of the neuromuscular research group.

    You will required to be onsite a minimum of 1 day per quarter as of the date set by your manager or, if applicable, 30 days from letter send date. Your specific onsite schedule may vary based on operational and programmatic needs. Your manager retains discretion to modify onsite requirements as needed, consistent with University and School of Medicine policies.

    The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

    Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor''s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
    • CCRP
    • Advanced knowledge of clinical research practices and philosophy, and ability to apply knowledge and skills to recommend improvements in methodology. Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements.
    • Advanced ability to effectively lead one or more projects with competing to meet the demands of a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Adaptable to quickly changing priorities.
    • Advanced ability to effectively lead one or more projects with competing to meet the demands of a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Adaptable to quickly changing priorities.
    • Advanced communication skills; including verbal and written, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills. Clear and concise communicator.
    • Advanced interpersonal skills, including but not limited to: problem-solving, teamwork development, leadership with other team members. Works well with others to achieve common goals.
    • Proven ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software. Advanced knowledge of clinical information and documentation application programs.
    • Proven ability utilizing clinical trial management systems.
    • In depth ability to work collaboratively with other cross-functional teams. In depth ability to interface, collaborate and influence / persuade other members of an extended study team.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in a neurosciences field
    • Prior experience working on clinical trials for ALS and neuromuscular diseases
