The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurology, would like to hire a part time (22.5 hrs per week), Clinical Research Assistant II. The CRA will assist the Clinical Research Coordinator and Research Manager with completing research study related assessments and procedures. The CRA is expected to complete assessments independently or with minimal supervision.

The CRA will assist with recruiting and screening participants, reviewing participant records, administering study-related surveys, maintaining appropriate electronic databases and source documentation.

Additionally, the CRA may be asked to assist with other study team tasks such as development of recruitment material, assisting with literature reviews, summarizing data and preparing reports.

Conducts research assessments/procedures independently, including obtaining vital signs and brief medical histories, processing specimens using centrifuge, performing phlebotomy, preparing samples for shipment, and assisting with other clinical procedures as directed. -Oversees operations when leadership is unavailable; assigns work tasks and provides support. -Recruits, screens, and enrolls research participants. Follows up with study participants to schedule appointments and maintain study retention. -Reviews participants' medical records, collects and codes surveys, and verifies active status for participants. -Attends relevant meeting and prepares reports, data visualizations and basic models identifying progress and trends. -Maintains and updates databases for registry assessment and clinical trials forms. -Order supplies, maintains inventory, and organizes research space. -Performs data analysis involving routines procedures. Assists in preparing standard operating procedures and manuals.
