Job Description:
SCOPE: Collaborate with the Clinical Research team to aid with clinical research studies conducted by principal investigator(s) who have been credentialed as required and have research privileges at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and those affiliated with our cancer program hospital partners. The CR Assistant is responsible for pre-screening patients for trials, processing and shipment of research samples and ongoing site management of clinical research inventory.
FUNCTIONS:
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the evolution of clinical research.
Coordinates and participates in clinical research studies conducted by principal investigators by pre-screening and identifying patients for clinical trial eligibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in a scientific or technical discipline.
Basic science degree, or certification or licensure in a health care field
Demonstrated success in management of regulatory submissions activities.
Medical or scientific research experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Professional Certification preferred
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
General computer knowledge and word processing experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
Lab experience preferred
