The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is recruiting a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) for the Children's Communication Center (CCC). The CRC will provide operational and research expertise to support the clinical, translational, outreach, publicity and quality improvement/research activities of the CCC.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to the following:
Comprehensive care coordination (pre- and post-visit) for patients seen in the multidisciplinary CCC clinics
In-person participation in CCC clinics for patient recruitment, consent, and survey administration
Coordination and in-person participation in off-site CCC clinical research and outreach activities.
Coordination and in-person participation in translational research for the CCC, including biospecimen collection, processing, and analysis
Telephone survey administration
Database management and data entry
Review of medical charts and electronic records to extract medical information and other data for use in studies
Administrative support for research study activity (including working with the UCSF Committee for Human Research and other regulatory agencies)
Management of pediatric multidisciplinary CCC clinics, serving as a primary contact for all patient's families
Maintain the CCC website and social media program

Support administrative management, including, but not limitedto, scheduling and authorizations for CCC clinic visits and personnel.
Serve as a primary point of contact for patients seen in CCC clinics, in order to answer administrative and basicclinical procedural questions, and serve as an intermediary between these patients and clinic providers for provider-level inquiries
Communicate with referring and collaborating providers and diagnostic testing centers to retrieve records and facilitate follow-up for procedures/tests aftervisits
Support administrative management of newbornblood-spot CMV testingand genetic testing.
Maintain rapport and relationships with subjects to ensure effective communication and retention; respond to their diverse needs
Provide clinical provider support/scheduling for multidisciplinary clinics and ancillary meetings.
Maintain CCC cliniccalendars
Coordinate HCC staffadministrative meetings
Maintain CCC clinicsupplies and purchases
Communicate with peds OHNSand audiology stafffor follow-up actionitems after HCC and multidisciplinary meetings, including visit scheduling
