Clinical Research Financial Analyst (Remote)

Overview

The Office of Cancer Research is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Financial Analyst to support a robust portfolio of adult and pediatric

oncology clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage financial operations of assigned clinical research studies, including planning, tracking, and reconciliation of study finances
  • Perform clinical trial invoicing, reconciliation, and accounts receivable activities
  • Build and maintain study calendars in OnCore (CTMS)
  • Utilize Workday (ERP) and EPIC (EMR) for financial and clinical data management
  • Conduct and review coverage analyses, study budgets, and clinical trial agreements (CTAs)
  • Support budget development and negotiation with sponsors
  • Coordinate patient charge segregation and ensure billing compliance
  • Lead or support study start-up and closeout financial activities
  • Serve as a key liaison between faculty, research teams, finance, and institutional departments
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level staff
  • Collaborate with investigators and leadership on financial planning for sponsored research

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or 10+ years of relevant research administration experience)

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a clinical research or academic medical center environment

  • Hands-on experience with:

  • OnCore (required)

  • Workday (required)

  • EPIC (preferred)

  • Strong experience in clinical trial invoicing and reconciliation

  • Knowledge of coverage analysis, budgets, and clinical trial agreements

  • Familiarity with federal and non-federal funding regulations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work cross-functionally

  • Oncology clinical research experience

  • Experience supporting adult and pediatric hematology/oncology studies

  • Knowledge of grant applications and research funding management

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Providence, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.86/hr.
