Clinical Research Nurse II - Oncology (Hematology Focus)

We are seeking a Clinical Research Nurse II (CRN II) to manage moderately to highly complex oncology clinical trials, with a strong emphasis on hematologic malignancies (liquid tumors/leukemia). This role requires proven experience managing 10-15 concurrent trials and strong patient-facing research nursing expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute clinical activities for 10-15 concurrent oncology trials
  • Screen patients, determine eligibility, obtain informed consent, and coordinate enrollment
  • Build and review treatment plans and order sets with Pharmacy and Investigators
  • Provide protocol-driven patient care and education
  • Document and track AEs/SAEs, deviations, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, ICH/GCP, IRB, and sponsor standards
  • Serve as a clinical research resource for care teams and participants
  • Participate in sponsor monitoring visits and external audits
  • Support training and onboarding for new protocols

Required Qualifications

  • RN licensure in Connecticut
  • 3+ years of nursing experience in hospital, clinic, or research settings
  • Strong oncology experience required (hematology preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage high trial volume
  • Experience with informed consent, eligibility review, AE/SAE reporting, and protocol interpretation
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CTMS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of clinical research nursing experience
  • Hematology/Leukemia trial experience
  • ACRP or SOCRA certification
  • ONS certification
  • Experience working with IRBs and federal regulations

This is a Permanent position based out of New Haven, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
